Ian McCubbin

A physics teacher and mountaineer for over 27 years, Ian has walked and climbed in Scotland, England, Wales Northern Ireland as well as the Alps in Austria and France, White Mountains of New England and Canadian Rockies 

 

Ian is Mountain Leader (summer) qualifed and is a member of MLTA the professional association. He also has a full mountain environment first aid certificate and 6 years back packing leading experience with the Duke of Edinbrugh Award scheme 

Ian also is a keen environmentalist and has worked for the Open University in that field for over 20 years.

Ian is also a keen orienteer with Tayside orienteers and a hillrunner.

Kirsty McCubbin

Kirsty brings enthusiasm and youth to the team and is completing a Geography degree so brings not only land form knowledge but can give detail to weather conditions and environmental issues.

Her role is mainly in back pack weekends/trips as an assisstant and camp site support.
